Overview of the Fantasy setting

The following is just a very small look at the Fantasy setting. The main points of conflict are described. Still finishing it up, but I hope you get some ideas of the types of games you might play!
The world (Aegeron), has been invaded by hordes from Hell. The conquest of the world was going well, until a desperate faction of human mages, called Exarchs, tried to close the gates (multiple gates), and drew too much mana from the world, and cracked it. Continents broke apart, new seas arose, and both demon-kind and humanity (no elves and other mythical races…yet. I haven’t fully decided on way or the other) were scattered. There is a lull, now, as the world recovers, which gives humanity a chance to rally against the hordes of hell, though the odds seem impossible.
In Hell itself, the devastation of Aegeron has caused much turmoil. The ruler of Hell has been slain by an as of yet unnamed assassin, causing a power vacuum. In the wake of the killing, the various demon lords, overseers of the 7 dominions, and other individuals (your NPCs) have begun a war of succession to see who can claim the throne.
------------------------
The idea here is to present this setting from two different view points, that of "good" and that of "evil." Since Codex Infernus is a book about evil concepts, I thought it interesting to provide a framework for evil characters. perhaps you play "Hell knights" or "hell Priests," workign for the forces of darkness to conquer the world. Maybe your demon characters are fighting in the war in hell.
Of course, heroes of Light have their own challenges...fighting back the hordes of hell, uniting humanity against a common foe, etc. There are a lot of ways you can use this setting, either as a stand alone game, or even if you want to port concepts into your own games.

We have just 48 hours left before hell comes to DS=Savage Worlds!
I've just received a concept image for the Mute Citadel, which stands at the heart of Hell, towering over the great Pit. Check it out!
